Exciting news! Today is the 10-year anniversary of the day I started the A Lady in London blog. It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade, but when I think back on all the adventures it starts to feel real.
10 Year Blog Anniversary
I never imagined I would be a professional travel blogger. When I stared the blog in 2007 I thought it would just be a hobby and a way to keep in touch with family and friends back in California. But then blogging became something people could make a living from, and in 2010, I found myself quitting my day job and going full-time (you can read the whole story here).
Over the years I’ve learned a lot and seen the landscape change dramatically, but throughout it all I’ve retained a passion for travel and a love of running the blog. There have been ups and downs, but I can’t imagine a career that suits me better than this one. I get to be both creative and analytical, set my own hours (although sometimes I wish they were fewer), help others start blogs and plan trips, and travel all over the world to see and do amazing things.
I’m sure blogging will change even more over the next 10 years, and I can’t wait to see how things evolve. I’m looking forward to new challenges and journeys, and above all to continuing sharing my love of London and the world with you.
So thank you for your support over the last decade. Whether you’ve been reading since day one or just discovered A Lady in London, I’m glad you’re here. It means so much to me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
